Tracking and refunds
Open History with the Ethereum account that created the swap. Save the transaction hash or swap ID so you can also inspect it through an explorer.
Read the lifecycle
Section titled “Read the lifecycle”| Status | What happens next |
|---|---|
| Creation pending | Wait for a successful receipt and IntentCreated. |
| Auction open | Solvers bid during the 61-second auction. |
| Winner selected | The winner pays XMR and proves settlement before the deadline. |
| Settled | Check receipt and spendability in your Monero wallet. |
| Refund eligible | Submit expiry to receive the refundable ETH. |
| Expired | Check the successful SwapExpired receipt. |
Refund amounts and timing
Section titled “Refund amounts and timing”For principal P, the winning bond is B = floor(P × 500 / 10,000) in wei:
| Outcome | Refund available | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| No bid | At the auction end | P |
| Winner fails to settle | At the settlement deadline | P + B |
In History, select the eligible swap, review the refund, submit, and wait for confirmation. Expiry requires a transaction; it is not automatic. Anyone can call expire(swapId), but ETH always goes to the original user. The caller pays gas, which is not reimbursed.
There is no early cancellation or alternate refund address. A user contract that rejects ETH causes expiry to revert.
Pending, replaced, and uncertain transactions
Section titled “Pending, replaced, and uncertain transactions”Use Check again after a confirmation timeout. The browser remembers pending transactions locally; clearing storage does not cancel them.
If another transaction settles or expires the swap first, your expiry can revert. Check the terminal event before retrying. Completed swaps disappear from getSwap, but remain in event history. Stale history disables the refund action until fresh data is available.
